Perry's Greatest Reggae Music!

Bob Marley was adamant in teaming up the two Barrett brothers by encouraging them to abandon the Lee Perry's musical ship and join forces with him and The Wailers en-route to success. But in retrospect; Lee Perry was really at the height of his craft. Perry made sure that the Black Ark Studio was the foundation of some of the greatest Reggae music ever heard in the musical arena of Jamaica. Other producers were utterly dumfounded at the quality of the sound produced out of the Black Ark Studio. Upon leaving the Coxsone Dodd's posse, Perry went on a musical advanced learning curve journey by linking other record producers!

These established recording producers included: Prince Buster, Bunny Lee, Bryon Lee, J.J. Johnson and Joe Gibbs and even making and producing records for them, before setting up his own recording studios in 1974, and painted the named Black Ark Studio, above the entry door for everyone to see. However, it can be documented that from the Black Ark Studio Lee Perry produced a wealth of creative innovations in Reggae music. Lee The Upsetter Perry went on to become a major force in the development of Reggae music in Jamaica. Lee Perry created a totally unique sound in Jamaican music that gave rise to his own personal universal popularity!

Lee "scratch" Perry was the first and foremost producer ever to give us the musical Dub on the vinyl, he was also the first to use the phraseology, Alternative Music. It can be said: Perry was truly the Doctorate of Jamaican music and, with a wealth of music behind him, his own recordings and for other people, not just in Jamaica but throughout the European union, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. Find Lee Perry is at the control tower, and will find him in his element and his never ending  pursuit of the ultimate in music!
