The Kaya album was presented as an album of love songs, and of course it
paid homage's to the power of Marijuana: The herb known on the island of
Jamaica as Ganja sometimes called weed! That same year of 1978 Marley
and the Wailers Band again toured Europe and America, performing
in a series of shows and the release of the another live album: "Babylon
By Bus." That same year saw Bob Marley and the Wailers entered into a
new dimension by playing in Australia, Japan and New Zealand. In 1979
the Survival LP was released. Survival was Bob Marley’s ninth album! It included the song Zimbabwe, a stirring anthem for the then soon to gain independence Rhodesia, together with "So Much Trouble In The World" and the anathematically "Africa Unite." The sleeve design consisting of the flags of all the independent Nations. Next came the release of the Survival album was devoted to Pan African solidarity! 1984 The Legend album was released. The Legend was an album featuring compilations of Bob Marley's and The Wailers most popular hit songs, that has until this day remained, one of the best selling catalogued albums on the US Billboard charts. | | Then the year of 1992 brought out Songs of Freedom compact disc album, a limited edition of one million four CD compilation boxed sets featuring rare and previously unreleased material, that was speedily sold out even before it had hit the shelves of the record stores and local shops. That CD boxed set has become one of the most sought after collectors item, prior to its re-release! The CD can be bought at record stores throughout the UK, in major record stores in the United States including the rest of the world. The original CD boxed set could be costly for a collector to purchase! |
